Find Cheap Airfare to San Diego

Question: Love your website. We're interested in visiting from Mobile, AL, and are trying to determine the best airline to use to get the best airfare. Any suggestions? We can get to airports in Mobile, AL, Pensacola, FL, and New Orleans, LA, very easily. Thanks for any information you can provide.

When looking for cheap airfare, it's always smart to start looking early, as soon as you know you're going to travel. There are many web sites that will send you updates on travel deals, straight to your email box. One of my favorites for that is:

Travelzoo.com. They have Top 20 deals they send out every week, so keep your eyes out for a great bargain.

I would also subscribe to airline sites that service a nearby city and San Diego, like southwest.com, which flies out of New Orleans and Birmingham.

I also like sidestep.com, which will compare prices of all the major airlines. The downside is that airlines like JetBlue and Southwest aren't added to the list.

Plan your visit, if possible, during our low season. Summers are very busy, so airfare prices are higher. November through February tends to be more affordable.
