Free Museum Days San Diego

San Diego County residents can get into most of Balboa Park's museums free on Tuesdays throughout the month!

You will need to show ID to take advantage of this offer.

The Timken Museum is always free.

On the first Tuesday of the month, visit:

• Reuben H. Fleet Science Center - great for kids!


• Centro Cultural de la Raza


• Model Railroad Museum - kid-friendly


• Natural History Museum - kid tested and approved

Free admission on the second Tuesday, includes:

• Museum of Photographic Arts


• Museum of San Diego History


• Veterans’ Museum and Memorial Center

Third Tuesday freebies are:

• San Diego Art Institute


• Mingei International Museum


• San Diego Museum of Art


• San Diego Museum of Man - fun for kids


• Japanese Friendship Garden

These museums are free on the fourth Tuesday:

• San Diego Air & Space Museum - kid friendly


• San Diego Automotive Museum


• San Diego Hall of Champions


• House of Pacific Relations International Cottages
