Maritime Museum by the Ocean

The Maritime Museum of San Diego is a great place to go with both kids and adults. It is filled with interesting information about historic ships and even allows you to go onto some of the ships, including the Star of India, which is the oldest active ship.

It's a lot of fun for the kids to be able to go on the ships and experience what it would be like to travel on these ships.

Agreed! The Maritime Museum is fun for both children and adults. Our boys love the pirate theme and checking out all the nooks and crannies below deck. There's also an old Russian submarine you can explore.

Stop by one of the nearby restaurants for lunch on the ocean, too, to make an afternoon of it.
